My best buddy made my day last week. He not only invited me to play golf with him in Ireland in September, but he mailed me a great book on golf (“Smart Golf”) along with 2 dozen customized golf balls. On them, is printed “Scooter McDuff” (my new Irish golfer name), “Ireland Golf Adventure 2005. Enjoy the walk.”

Drink Water, Do Something Good

“Every bottle makes a difference.” is the slogan of Ethos Water, a company recently purchased by Starbucks who is now selling their water in all Starbucks stores. I like what this company is doing.

Their simple idea: Create a bottled water and help children around the world get clean water. They do this by donating 5 cents for each bottle sold towards their target goal of $10 million over five years. Now, with Starbucks behind them, this should be very achievable. I’ve never been really big on the whole bottled water thing, but if you’re going to drink it you might as well do something good while you’re doing it.
